Currently living in Alaska, I continue my work as a caregiver for wild animals in sanctuary care. In my free time I play hockey, read, surf, hike, and play music.

The most important lesson I learned during my time with SFS Tanzania is it is crucial to empower local communities to care for their environment in alignment with their cultural values. What stuck with me beyond the gift of seeing such magnificent animals in their natural environment was the people living beside them and their value as we work to protect our earth and its inhabitants.
