An educator, operations manager, and advocate for social and environmental justice, Phil joins SFS with close to a decade of experience working in the field of study abroad. Prior to joining SFS Phil served as the Operations Manager for the International Honors Program at SIT, World Learning. Before that he spent four years in NE Thailand working with CIEE’s Development and Globalization program and learning from Thailand’s grassroots peoples’ movement, the Assembly of the Poor. Phil is interested in how study abroad can prepare a new generation of students with the critical inquiry and research skills to collectively address the ecological crises of our time.
